It was the series which helped to save our sanity during lockdown and with Bridgerton back for series two we are once again wallowing in a little Regency glamour.

The outfits, the outrageous wigs and the brilliant script together made the show a standout hit and such has been its success that interiors are now looking to the past for inspiration.

To mark Bridgerton’s return we have been on the hunt for modern interiors pieces which also deliver some period drama. The long, trailing scented blooms of wisteria were the inspiration behind this vintage floral design. The plant symbolises long-life and immortality, which makes this range of wallpaper the perfect print to bring an instant calming quality to any space. £85 a roll, woodchipandmangolia.co.uk

This grand gilt dressing table boasts intricate carvings, rattan detailing and ornate crests on the top of each of the three mirrors. There are three drawers and the two side mirrors pivot so you can see from every angle. £1,300, frenchbedroomcompany.co.uk

The Sugar Puff bed is fully upholstered and comes with a super thick headboard and weathered oak legs. Handmade in the UK, you can choose from 159 different matches with free swatches available before you order. £1,119, loaf.com

A beautiful centrepiece for your bathroom, this freestanding Milano bath is a true design classic. It features elegant looks that will never date and a double ended slipper style shape that allows you to bathe at whichever end you wish. £799, weareboutique.co.uk

Handcrafted from either luxurious velvet or soft, tactile chenille fabric, the Freesia sofa has an elegant scrolled arm design and expertly hand-turned wooden feet, available in light or dark wood. £1299, sofology.com

Like its Italian city namesake the Florence cabinet is easy on the eye. Gilded from top to toe for a bold, sumptuous look and lined with stunning wallpaper depicting elegant cranes in flight, this is a drinks cabinet which oozes old world glamour. £845, webandgray.com
